Dr. Rozlyn Linder (1976-2017)

Rozlyn Linder, Ph.D. was a highly sought-after literacy consultant and best-selling author. She was known for her energetic, fast-paced seminars and workshops, and she collaborated with teachers across the country at national and state conferences on literacy.

An award-winning teacher, Dr. Roz taught at all levels from elementary through college. She specialized in explicit instruction and standards-based classrooms.

In 2014, she founded Roz Linder Literacy to help teachers and parents reinforce key ELA skills in their young readers and writers.

She was the author of several books, including the Chart Sense series, The Big Book of Details, and the Common Core Guidebook series.

Dr. Roz was certified in Special Education, K-12 Reading, Advanced Placement English Composition, Early Childhood Education, and Middle School Language Arts in the state of Georgia. She specialized in explicit instruction, culturally-relevant pedagogy, and standards-based classrooms.

A life long learner, Dr. Roz was an alumni of Clark Atlanta University (BA in Early Childhood Education), Kennesaw State University (MA in Professional Writing), University of West Georgia (Ed.S. in Instructional Technology), and Mercer University (Ph.D. in Educational Leadership).

Dr. Roz lived in Atlanta with her husband, Chris, and their two spirited daughters, Sydney and Brooke.
